Starting in 2027, access to the five waste disposal centers of the Communauté de Communes de la Matheysine will be via a license plate reading system, requiring prior vehicle registration from September 1st.

The Communauté de Communes de la Matheysine (CCM) is modernizing its five waste disposal centers by installing an access control system based on license plate reading. This system aims to regulate access, reserving it for residents of the territory and professionals with vehicles under 3.5 tonnes, with a limit of 25 passages covered by the CCM. Professionals using vehicles of 3.5 tonnes or more will need to go to commercial waste disposal facilities.
The objectives of this modernization are multiple: to control the origin of waste by accepting only users from the CCM territory, to improve waiting times at the entrance of the centers, to enhance the conditions for receiving and depositing waste by allowing waste disposal agents to better assist users with sorting, and to reduce the tonnages processed.
Each household can register as many vehicles as necessary, all of which must be linked to a single user account. To create this account, several supporting documents are required: a tax certificate to verify residency within the territory, vehicle registration documents (cartes grises), the family record book for vehicles belonging to household children, a Kbis extract or INSEE form for professionals, and an employer's certificate for company vehicles. These documents, scanned or photographed in good resolution (jpg or pdf format), must be uploaded to a dedicated platform.
The tax certificate confirms residency within the CCM territory, a prerequisite for accessing the inter-municipal waste disposal centers. The vehicle registration documents verify information such as the license plate number, vehicle type, and maximum authorized mass (PTAC). These supporting documents are exclusively for managing access to the waste disposal centers, and any other use is prohibited by RGPD regulations.
For individuals without internet access or computer equipment, support sessions will be organized at the waste disposal centers during their opening hours in 2026. The scheduled dates are: October 2nd in La Motte-d’Aveillans, October 7th in Sousville, October 8th in Corps, October 14th in Sousville, and October 16th in Lavaldens and Valbonnais.
Access with a rental vehicle is possible provided a valid waste disposal center account is held. Upon arrival, a staff member will check the rental documents and assign the visits to your account. Similarly, quads approved for road use can access the center if registered on the user account; an agent will verify the rear plate to grant access. Tractors over 3.5 tonnes are prohibited.
Individuals with a secondary residence in the territory must provide proof of address. If moving within the CCM, updating the address on the user account is mandatory. The account must be deleted upon moving outside the territory.
