The Bièvre Isère Sport-Health House, located at Aqualib’ in La Côte Saint-André, officially opened its doors on Saturday, October 3rd. This new facility aims to support all residents wishing to start, resume, or maintain physical activity tailored to their needs, abilities, and health status, whether on a personal basis or through medical prescription.
The goal is to help everyone find suitable activity and integrate it sustainably into their daily lives. During a free initial appointment, specialized professionals discuss with the individual, assess their needs, and build an individualized profile, subsequently guiding them towards adapted physical activity (APA) or sports and physical activity (APS).
This support addresses three situations: preventing the effects of a sedentary lifestyle and staying healthy, acting early to reduce risk factors, or, by medical prescription, being assisted to better live with a chronic illness and preserve autonomy. The Sport-Health House relies on inter-municipal sports facilities such as Aqualib’, the Golf de la Bièvre in Faramans, and the multi-sports hall in Saint-Jean de Bournay, as well as a network of local partners.
The official inauguration took place on Saturday, October 3rd at 9 AM at Aqualib’, in the presence of elected officials, institutional partners, health professionals, and local associations. This event marked the kickoff of the "Dare to Move" weekend, taking place on Saturday, October 3rd and Sunday, October 4th.
The weekend includes the 4th edition of the Sport-Health Forum, free and open to all, held on Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Coubertin gymnasium. Local associations will present gentle and adapted activities, and three conferences are scheduled: "Living Better by Moving More" with Pierre Erick Fournier (French Cardiology Federation), "Is Sport Synonymous with Pleasure?" with Delphine Le Dren (psychomotrician), and "My Back is Giving Me Trouble" with Floriane Helie-Joly (masseur-kinesiotherapist).
Various activities are also offered at Aqualib’: aqua health, aqua bike cool, diving taster sessions, Pilates, stretching, and circuit training. To make an appointment, the Sport-Health House is located at Aqualib’, avenue Charles de Gaulle in La Côte Saint-André. Contact numbers are 04 74 20 98 88 or sportsante@bievre-isere.com.
