Three new architectural installations were set up this September on the banks of the Isère river in Grenoble by students from ENSAG – UGA and Japan's University of Tsukuba.

In just 15 days, master's students from the Architecture, Ambiance et Culture Numérique program at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Grenoble designed and built three new architectural installations. These structures, created as part of a Franco-Japanese workshop, aim to establish new convivial living spaces along the Isère riverbanks.
This collaborative project, reflecting a long-standing cooperation between ENSAG – UGA and the University of Tsukuba, was carried out in partnership with Grenoble-Alpes Métropole, the municipalities of Gières, Meylan, La Tronche, and SYMBHI.
The installed structures take the form of contextual seating, designed to offer spaces for resting, socializing, having lunch, or simply admiring the landscape. They represent the first phase of a broader project by Grenoble Alpes Métropole aimed at revitalizing the Isère riverbanks.
These new living spaces are visible at three locations: near the skatepark of La Tronche (11 Chemin Fortuné Ferrini), at the Taillat rest area in Meylan (Chemin des Agriculteurs), and near the picnic areas of the sports plain in Gières (Chemin du Bac).
