Water usage restrictions in the Usses basin are maintained at the 'Reinforced Alert' level (level 3 out of 4) until November 20, 2026, requiring continued vigilance regarding consumption.

The territory of the Pays de Cruseilles is affected by the continuation of water usage restrictions at the 'Reinforced Alert' level, the highest after crisis, until November 20, 2026. This decision was made by the Prefect after consulting the Water Resources Committee.
Although October saw rainfall exceeding the normal average, leading to a rise in river levels, tensions on water resources persist in several areas of the department. The drought beginning this autumn therefore justifies the continuation of these measures.
Starting Saturday, October 31, 2026, several watersheds are moving to or remaining at the reinforced alert level (level 3/4): the Arve Aval, Arve médian, Chéran, Dranses, and Usses. The South-West Lémanique is also affected. Other sectors such as the Fier, Arve amont, and Genevois are at the alert level (level 2/4).
A derogation is, however, granted across the entire department to allow, subject to reasoned water use, the watering of flower beds in cemeteries.
