Following the election of Florent Brunet to the Senate, which led him to resign as president of the Porte de DrômArdèche community of communes, new elections were organized. Meeting in a community council on Thursday, October 29, the 57 elected officials representing the territory's 34 communes elected David Bouvier, mayor of Ratières, as president of the community of communes, along with 12 Vice-Presidents and 3 Delegate Advisors.
David Bouvier was elected President with 30 votes, facing Aurélien Ferlay, mayor of Moras-en-Valloire, and Aline Hébert, mayor of Saint-Martin-d’Août. An elected official since the creation of Porte de DrômArdèche in 2014, Vice-President since 2020, a departmental councilor for the Drôme, and a farmer, he is well acquainted with the territory's operations and challenges. His election signifies a desire for continuity and stability. He emphasized the importance of continuing ongoing actions to address challenges in territorial development, economic attractiveness, and transition.
David Bouvier also thanked Florent Brunet for his work and commitment, expressing confidence that he will continue to represent the territory's voice in the Senate. He also acknowledged the dedication of all elected officials and community staff.
The elected officials also appointed the 12 Vice-Presidents and 3 delegate advisors who will support the President. Their responsibilities, to be assigned in the coming weeks, will cover the intercommunal body's main competencies, including territorial development, economy, public services (nurseries, swimming pools, health...), and ecological transition. The executive team remains largely unchanged, with most Vice-Presidents and Special Advisors re-elected. Marie-Christine Prot, mayor of Ponsas, is a new addition to the team. The Community Bureau, also voted in, comprises 37 members.
This governance aims to continue ongoing projects, ensure rigorous management of the community, and proactively meet the needs of the territory and its inhabitants. Re-elected vice-presidents include Guillaume Luyton (Saint-Sorlin-en-Valloire), Sylvie Perot (Laveyron), Ludwig Montagne (Saint-Barthélemy-de-Vals), Isabelle Combet (Lapeyrouse Mornay), Romain Texier (Peyraud), Christelle Reynaud (Andance), Frédéric Chenevier (Andancette), Philippe Bécheras (Albon), François Faure (Lens-Lestang), Thierry Thomasset (Claveyson), Yohann Perrin (Champagne), and Marie-Christine Prot (Ponsas). Delegate Advisors are Christian Desportes (Anneyron), Michel Descormes (Saint-Vallier), and Gérard Oriol (Saint-Rambert-d’Albon).
