The Prefect of Ardèche, Benoît Trévisani, has issued several decrees to enhance security and prevent public disorder on the occasion of the October 31st mobilization day and Halloween.

Specific measures apply in seven municipalities: Privas, Annonay, and Aubenas will prohibit demonstrations in their city centers on Saturday, October 31st, from 8 AM to 8 PM. Gatherings with a protest nature are also forbidden in these three towns, as well as in Bourg-Saint-Andéol, Le Teil, La Voulte-sur-Rhône, and Tournon-sur-Rhône, from Saturday, October 31st, 8 PM to Sunday, November 1st, 6 AM.
A curfew for minors not accompanied by their legal representative will be in effect in these same municipalities from Saturday, October 31st, 9 PM to Sunday, November 1st, 6 AM.
Throughout the department, from Friday, October 30th, 6 PM to Monday, November 2nd, 12 PM, several prohibitions are in place. These include transporting fuel in containers without due justification, carrying weapons or objects that could constitute a weapon without legitimate reason, consuming alcohol in public spaces, and wearing certain protective equipment during gatherings intended to obstruct law enforcement.
These measures follow disturbances and mortar fire incidents during previous Halloween celebrations in Ardèche, where a gendarme was injured in 2025. The Prefect urges everyone to act responsibly and respect the current regulations.
