As announced on March 18, 2026, the current relay antenna of operator Orange, installed on the Autières water tower in Villars-les-Dombes, must be relocated. The infrastructure will be transferred to the sports facilities area, specifically to the end of the rugby stadium plot.
This relocation is driven by technical imperatives for network modernization. It will also allow for the release of the Autières water tower, slated for demolition as part of the project to build a new fire station. The choice of the rugby stadium plot was studied to maintain optimal network coverage for all residents and professionals in Villars-les-Dombes, while moving the infrastructure away from densely populated areas.
Work begins this October. Construction vehicles will be circulating in the area. Therefore, the municipality requests vigilance when traveling around the stadium and suggests avoiding this sector during the construction period.
