The town of Miribel is joining the national campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer screening. Several local associations are offering initiatives throughout October to support research, assist patients, and emphasize the importance of early detection.
The association Terre Connexion Santé is offering a free introduction to Plantar Reflexology based on traditional Chinese medicine. Sessions will be held on Monday, October 12, and Monday, October 19, 2026, from 2 PM to 6 PM, with a maximum of 12 participants per date. Spontaneous donations collected will be fully given to the Ligue contre le cancer (League Against Cancer). Registrations by phone at 06 60 33 75 27.
The ULM Hiking Section is organizing a solidarity walk on Saturday, October 17, to benefit the Ligue contre le cancer, with funds going to the Léon Berard Center in Lyon. Two routes are available: 6 km in the morning (departure at 9 AM from CSC) and 8 km in the afternoon (departure at 2 PM). Participation is €5, open to all walkers. The CESAM Social Center will host an awareness and tasting afternoon on Tuesday, October 20, from 3 PM to 5 PM, at 194 rue des Ecoles. The program includes a self-examination workshop and a quiz offered by the Miribel Sexual Health Center, sales of handmade creations to benefit the association Europadona, and a friendly space with pink drinks and pastries. Admission is free and no reservation is required.
