A new music discovery area, the listening lounge, has opened at the Le Châtelard Media Library. It is equipped with a turntable, CD player, headphones, and speakers for the public to enjoy the library's music collections on-site.
To extend the experience at home, the library also offers the loan of two turntables, as well as CDs and vinyl records. Borrowing conditions are standard: three weeks, with the possibility of extension and online reservation.
Numerous events are planned around this new space, including a web radio, music quizzes, workshops, musical discoveries, and concerts. This project was supported by the Department of Ain and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region.
The official inauguration of the listening lounge will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 10 AM at the media library.
