Do you have ideas for your neighborhood? Do you want to participate in its development, voice residents' needs, or contribute to concrete projects? The neighborhood councils of Divonne-les-Bains are open to all who wish to get involved in local life. Registrations, open since June 15, 2026, remain possible throughout the year, offering a new opportunity to become an active participant in your neighborhood.
Established in 2021, the neighborhood councils are evolving this year to strengthen dialogue between residents and the Town. Each neighborhood will now rely on two representatives, elected for two years. These local liaisons will be responsible for animating the council, liaising with the town hall, and coordinating actions. The goal is to facilitate more direct exchanges and give residents a greater role.
A major innovation is the creation of an inter-neighborhood council, bringing together representatives from the four neighborhood councils. This body, which will meet at least once a quarter, will allow for sharing experiences and coordinating common initiatives concerning all of Divonne-les-Bains. Each neighborhood council will benefit from an annual operating budget of €1,000, supplemented by a common fund of €20,000 to support projects.
To become a member, one must be 16 years or older, reside primarily in Divonne-les-Bains, and not be an elected official of the Town. Registrations are accessible via a dedicated form and on the Town's website. Participation is voluntary and unpaid until November 2028.
Meeting opportunities are also planned at the market on Friday, November 6, to allow residents to discover the initiative and ask questions. The launch evening for the new neighborhood councils will take place in November.
